the Light
Now the days will grow longer and moods will improve. The longest night has passed. It is a couple more days until Christmas and I have spent most of a month crocheting a dress for my little granddaughter. I have just a little bit more to go before it is finished. I did not have a pattern so I had to put it on her frequently to check the fit as I went along. She calls it her Barbie dress. She is two years old and the light of my life. I am making a quilt for each of my daughters for Christmas too, but it will be around New Year's Day before I have them completed. I got a late start because my old sewing machine broke early in the year and it wasn't until November before I was able to get a replacement for it. Though I am working hard to finish all these projects, I am keeping a merry heart because the labor I put into these gifts is one of love. I do not want to have negative feelings or thoughts going into my work. As the new year enters I hope to ring it in with good cheer, and keep love in my heart all the rest of the year. I hope the same for you. Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it and Happy New Year to everyone.

Visualization
I guess one of the most important things to learn about magic is visualization. If you can't visualize it won't work, or if it does it will be weak. Practice visualizing something simple like a piece of fruit. See it, feel it, smell it, taste it. In time it will become easier to visualize and hold the image as you want it. that is when you are ready to move onto bigger things.
I believe anyone can do what is know as natural magic. There is a book called Applied Magic by Dion Fortune. The author tells you how to use it and I can tell you it does work. I recommend the book for anyone just starting out wanting to do magic.

New Day
Here it is the 16th of December, and just a short time till the holidays will be over. I wish I could have one wish for Yule. I would wish for one whole year of peace and happiness for the whole world. A time where no one has to worry about where their next meal was coming from; a time when people didn't hurt each other in any way; a time when there would be enough money to pay the bills and have a little left over; a time where families came together with love in their hearts and actually enjoyed each others company.
I don't ask for much do I ? Well, one can hope.

Greetings and Merry Meet
My name is Sister Silverleaf. I am an ordained minister and can legally perform any ceremony that is performed by a clergy.
I am Wiccan and prefer to officiate for those who want that type of ceremony. I have studied witchcraft, metaphysics, herbalism, aromatherapy, other odds and ends as well as the Christian faith. I began studying back in the early 70's, and started practicing what I learned about 12 years ago.
This is my first website and I am not real sure what all I am going to put here so there may be lots of topics and lots of changes until I find what feels right.
I believe everyone has a right to worship their own way and they do not have the right to impose their beliefs on anyone else, and that includes me.
This site is not just for religious purposes, I want a place to reach out to others. The Great Mother has told me it is time to spread my wings and fly, so with some trepidation I am. With that said "Merry meet and merry part until we meet again".
